News

BIG NEWS- I have accepted a job in Nanqaio Town, China. It is located 30km south of Shanghai. I will be teaching english to adults in a english language training center. I will be traveling down to NY city in 5 days to obtain my visa. Very exciting...

Once in NY it is suppose to take 4 days for the visa to be processed, but I am going to pay the extra 20 dollars to have it rushed, and then it only takes 3 hours. Weird how a little extra money can make almost anything happen.

Then its back to Cape Cod, pack up, then head over to Logan (BOS airport) board a plane for Atlanta (2.5hrs) then board a plane for Tokyo (long ^&#* flight) then board a plane bound for Shanghai (1.5 hrs) then get picked up at the airport by the new boss and the adventure begins.... or so the plan goes, whether it goes that smoothly or not is up for discussion...

Social Networking applications like Twitter are bringing to us a new form of "REAL TIME" communication.
This is exactly what I am experiencing with my Students in the Video blogging class going on right now: Real Time communication between each other, still sometimes in the class room but now also in "virtual space" anytime... Virtual space is Timeless! How are we going to teach within these new parameters? Let's try first and we will learn along the way.
